Bella Entertainment Agency UAE
From a five-drummer lion dance opening a mall activation to a single bian lian face-changer working the corporate top table, Chinese cultural entertainment is one of the most photogenic, most-shared acts you can put at an event. Bella Entertainment books authentic Chinese performers across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider UAE — every performer trained in China or by a recognised Chinese cultural association, performing in traditional costume with live percussion and genuine technique.
Demand spikes sharply in the weeks around Lunar New Year (January–February), when hotels, malls and corporates compete for the same handful of reputable lion-dance troupes. Book six to eight weeks ahead for CNY. Outside that window we have full availability year-round for corporate galas, weddings, product launches and cultural nights.

Chinese entertainment fits cleanly into a wide set of event formats:
CNY is the single busiest week for Chinese entertainment in the UAE. A few realities to plan around:
| Package | Performers | Run-time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lion Dance — Standard | 2 lions + 4-piece percussion | 15 min | Mall openings, product launches |
| Lion Dance — Premium | 4 lions + 6-piece percussion + drummer solo | 25 min | Hotel CNY galas, headline activations |
| Dragon Dance | 9–13 performers + live drums | 10 min + photo ops | Big-space outdoor openings |
| Bian Lian Face-Changer | Solo performer + sound op | 6–8 min | VIP dinners, gala headline slot |
| Full Cultural Night | Lion dance + drummers + bian lian + dancers | 60–90 min programme | Corporate CNY galas, consular events |
Exact pricing depends on date (CNY week is premium), number of lions/performers, venue and any customisation (branded lion colours, corporate-scroll calligraphy). Single 15-minute lion dance performances in Dubai typically start from AED 6,500; CNY week and premium formats run higher. Firm quote within one business day.
Are the performers actually Chinese, or just trained in Chinese dance?
The lion dance, dragon dance, drumming and bian lian troupes are performed by Chinese nationals or performers trained at recognised Chinese cultural institutions. Authenticity matters for the ritual elements (the blessing routine, the face-change technique) and for client expectations — especially at consular and Chinese-corporate events.
What space do lion and dragon dances need?
A two-lion performance needs a minimum 5 × 5 metres of clear floor with at least 3.5 metres of height clearance (the lions lift onto poles and shoulders). The full dragon dance needs a 20 × 4 metre corridor or circle. We send a venue-requirements PDF at the contract stage.
Can you perform indoors at a hotel ballroom or mall atrium?
Yes, indoors or outdoors. The only constraints are height clearance for the lifts and noise — the drums are loud, so if a speaker is on the same programme, schedule the lion dance at the beginning or end, not in the middle of speeches.
Is there a quieter Chinese act that works during dinner?
Yes. The guzheng or erhu solo is ideal as live dinner accompaniment — traditional, atmospheric, unobtrusive. Pair a quiet dinner set with a loud lion-dance opening and a bian lian finale for a full cultural arc.
Can the lion dance incorporate our brand or logo?
Yes. We can customise the colour scheme of the lion head (reds, golds, metallics) to match brand palette, add a branded scroll for the calligrapher to write on, and programme the plucked greens to reveal a brand message, product or logo.
How far ahead should I book for Lunar New Year?
For CNY (late January / early February): 6–8 weeks minimum. Premium dates (CNY Eve, first day of CNY, Saturday/Sunday of CNY week) typically sell out 10–12 weeks ahead.
Send us your event date, venue, guest count and preferred acts — we confirm availability and send a firm quote within one business day.
