Summary

Screen rental in Dubai runs from around AED 3,500 a day for a small indoor LED panel wall up to AED 60,000 or more for a large outdoor stage screen with structural rigging. Price depends on screen size, pixel pitch, indoor versus outdoor rating, and how many days you need it. A standard quote includes the panels, processor, rigging or ground stack, an on-site technician for the full event, and delivery and collection. Most bookings need 3 to 7 days lead time.

1. Pricing basics

What decides the price of screen rental in Dubai

Four things move the price of screen rental Dubai suppliers quote you: screen size in square metres, pixel pitch, indoor or outdoor spec, and how many days you need the screen for. A 20 square metre indoor wall at P2.6 costs less than the same size built to an outdoor-rated spec, because outdoor panels need higher brightness, usually 5,000 nits or more, and weatherproof housing to stay visible against Dubai sun and survive dust.

Rigging adds cost as well. A screen flown from truss with motors costs more than the same screen ground-stacked on a frame, because flying it needs a structural engineer's rigging plan for most hotel and outdoor venues. Weekend dates, Ramadan evenings and public holidays usually carry a surcharge. Most suppliers, including us, have a minimum order value below which a job is not worth mobilising a crew for, generally around AED 3,000 to 3,500.

If you are also booking entertainment or a stage for the same event, ask for the screen to be quoted alongside it. The technician and delivery vehicle are often shared across the LED wall and the sound or lighting rig, which brings the per-item cost down. Browse our event type packages if you want screens, acts and staging quoted as one job rather than three.

2. Spec basics

Pixel pitch: P2.6 indoor vs P3.9 outdoor

Pixel pitch is the distance in millimetres between LED diodes, and it decides how close your audience can stand before the image looks grainy. A lower number means a sharper image at close range, and a higher price per panel.

P2.6 is the standard for indoor ballroom and stage backdrop use, where guests sit or stand within 3 to 8 metres of the screen. It gives a crisp image for product shots, speaker slides and logo animation. P3.9 is the common outdoor grade, built to handle glare and dust, and works well when the audience is 8 metres or further back, which covers most outdoor stages, mall activations and festival setups. For very large outdoor screens viewed from 20 metres or more, P4.8 or P6 is often used instead, since the coarser pitch costs less per square metre and the extra distance hides it.

If your event mixes both, a product launch with guests close to a demo screen and a wider stage backdrop behind it, we often quote P2.6 for the near screen and P3.9 for the backdrop rather than one pitch for everything.

3. Price table

Screen rental Dubai: AED price table by size

These are typical rates for a one-day event in Dubai, including delivery, setup, a technician and collection. Multi-day exhibitions usually get a lower per-day rate. Confirm the exact figure against your date, venue access and pixel pitch when you request a quote.

Screen sizeGuest capacity guidePixel pitchPrice per day (AED)
Small indoor panel or pop-up unit, up to around 2m x 2mUp to 100 guestsP2.63,500 to 8,000
Stage backdrop or ballroom wall, up to around 6m x 3m100 to 600 guestsP2.68,000 to 30,000
Large stage screen, up to around 8m x 4m600 to 1,000 guestsP2.6 or P3.930,000 to 40,000
Outdoor screen with rigging, 10m or more1,000+ guestsP3.9 to P640,000 to 60,000 or more

A refundable damage deposit is standard on top of the rental fee, usually a percentage of the total order, released after collection once the panels are checked. Deposits and exact minimums vary by supplier and season, so confirm the figure at quote stage. You can get a quote for your exact size and dates within a working day by messaging us on WhatsApp.

4. TV vs LED

TV screen rental in Dubai: when a TV beats an LED wall

TV screen rental is the right call for smaller indoor setups where a full LED wall is overkill. A 55 inch to 86 inch commercial display on a floor stand or trolley works well for a registration desk, a meeting room agenda screen, a small VIP lounge, or a branding loop at a product table. It needs no rigging, no technician for the whole event in most cases, and sets up in minutes.

Where TV screen rental stops making sense is audience size and viewing distance. A single large TV loses clarity and brightness once your audience is spread across a ballroom or standing more than a few metres back, and you cannot tile multiple TVs into a smooth wall the way you can with LED panels, since the bezels break up the image. For anything above roughly 100 guests, or any event where the screen is the visual focus of a stage, an LED wall from the price table above is the better spec.

If you are not sure which fits your event, tell us the room size, guest count and what content you are showing, and we will recommend TV, projector or LED rather than default to the most expensive option.

5. Inclusions

What is included in a screen rental Dubai quote

A properly scoped quote is never just the panels or the TV unit. It should list the video processor that converts your laptop or media server signal into the screen's resolution, the rigging or ground-stack frame rated for the screen's weight and your venue's load limits, a technician present for the full event including setup and strike, and delivery plus collection in a covered vehicle.

  • LED panels or TV unit in the agreed size and pixel pitch
  • Processor and scaler to handle your content resolution and aspect ratio
  • Rigging or ground stack with safety certification for the load
  • On-site technician for setup, live operation and dismantling
  • Delivery and collection within Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah
  • Content playback support: aspect ratio checks, media server if needed

Ask what happens if a panel fails mid-event. A supplier with spares on the truck fixes it in minutes. One without will leave you with a dark patch on the wall for the rest of the night. If the screen is part of a wider production, our team can quote it with live acts or Arabic entertainment on the same booking so you deal with one point of contact instead of three suppliers arriving on different trucks.

6. Outdoor

Outdoor screen rental Dubai: heat, wind and permits

Outdoor events run October to April in Dubai for a reason. From May through September the heat affects crowd comfort and equipment both, and LED panels running long hours in direct sun need extra ventilation and cooling built in, which some rental fleets do not have. Ask specifically whether the panels you are quoted are rated for continuous outdoor operation in summer, not just splash-resistant.

Wind load is the other variable. Any screen over roughly 4 metres tall on an outdoor stage needs a structural rigging plan showing it can withstand expected wind speeds, and most venues and civil defence checks will ask to see this before allowing the build. Ground-stacked screens need ballast or counterweights, flown screens need a certified truss and motor system. This is not paperwork you can skip if the venue does a walkthrough.

On permits: any public-facing event with entertainment, screens showing branded or ticketed content, or a stage in a public or semi-public space in Dubai generally needs a DET (formerly DTCM) event permit. Private events with a closed guest list, like a villa wedding or an internal corporate offsite, are usually exempt, but confirm with your venue, since the thresholds change. In Abu Dhabi the equivalent authority is DCT. If you are erecting a tent or temporary structure alongside the screen, Dubai Municipality approval applies separately.

7. Indoor venues

Indoor screen rental Dubai for ballrooms and exhibitions

Indoor hire is simpler logistically since there is no wind or heat load to plan for, but hotel ballrooms bring their own rules. Venues like Atlantis The Palm, Address Downtown and the ballrooms at Dubai World Trade Centre have fixed loading bay hours, freight lift size limits, and a requirement that your rigging plan and technician insurance be submitted to their events team in advance, often 3 to 5 working days before the event. Some ballrooms cap rigging weight from the ceiling entirely and require ground-stacked screens instead.

For exhibitions and product launches at Dubai World Trade Centre or Expo City Dubai, screens usually need to run for multiple days back to back, sometimes 8 to 10 hours a day. Confirm your quote is priced as a multi-day exhibition rate, not a series of single-day bookings, since the crew and truck do not need to remobilise each morning if the screen stays rigged.

This is also where a projector or a TV screen rental can sometimes do the job for less. For a 300-seat conference room with controlled lighting, a high-lumen projector and screen, or even a large commercial TV, may cost less than an LED wall of the same size. Anywhere with ambient light or a bright ballroom, LED wins on visibility every time. For weddings and gala dinners, pairing the screen with the right act, from our Ayala dancers to a live band, is usually quoted together so lighting cues and screen content are synced on the night.

8. Mistakes

Common mistakes with screen rental in Dubai

The single most common issue is booking a screen size and pixel pitch without checking the content resolution it needs to display. A branded video shot for a 4K screen looks stretched or pixelated on a mismatched aspect ratio wall, and this is discovered on-site, not at the quote stage, if nobody asks for your content files in advance.

The expensive mistake: booking without a site survey for a load-bearing venue

If your screen needs to be flown or mounted in a hotel ballroom, skipping a site survey is the costliest error we see. Ballrooms have specific rigging points, weight limits and sometimes no rigging access at all above certain areas. A supplier who quotes blind and turns up to find the screen cannot be rigged as planned will either downgrade your setup on the day or add last-minute charges for an alternative frame. Always confirm rigging capability with the venue's technical team, or ask your supplier to do a walkthrough, before the deposit is paid.

Other recurring problems: booking the minimum brightness for an outdoor screen that ends up washed out at 2pm because the event runs into daylight hours, ordering a screen size from a room capacity chart without checking sightlines from the back row, and leaving content files to the morning of the event instead of sending them 48 hours ahead for testing. All of these are avoidable with one planning call before the booking is confirmed. Read more about our team and setup process on our about us page.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does screen rental cost in Dubai?

Screen rental in Dubai ranges from around AED 3,500 for a small indoor panel wall or TV unit to AED 60,000 or more for a large outdoor stage screen with structural rigging over 10 metres wide. The price depends on size, pixel pitch, indoor versus outdoor rating, and rental duration. Most single-day corporate event screens fall between AED 8,000 and AED 30,000.

What size LED screen do I need for my event?

A small indoor panel wall, up to around 2m x 2m, suits up to 100 guests. A stage backdrop or ballroom wall, up to around 6m x 3m, suits 100 to 600 guests. Events over 1,000 guests typically need a 10 metre or wider screen. The right size also depends on room depth and whether guests sit close to the stage or spread across a large space.

Can I rent a TV screen instead of an LED wall in Dubai?

Yes. TV screen rental suits smaller indoor setups such as registration desks, meeting room agendas, VIP lounges and branding loops at product tables, usually under 100 guests and viewed from close range. It needs no rigging and sets up in minutes. For a ballroom stage, a large outdoor area, or any audience spread across a wide room, an LED wall gives better brightness and viewing angles.

What is the difference between an LED screen and an LED video wall?

The terms are used interchangeably in Dubai's event industry. Technically, an LED video wall usually refers to a modular panel system built to a custom size on site, while an LED screen can also mean a smaller fixed-size unit. Both use the same panel technology, and the pricing and specification questions, pixel pitch, size and indoor or outdoor rating, are identical.

Do I need a permit for an outdoor LED screen in Dubai?

Public-facing events with screens, branded content or ticketed entry generally need a DET (formerly DTCM) event permit in Dubai, or a DCT permit in Abu Dhabi. Private events with a closed guest list, such as a villa wedding or internal corporate offsite, are usually exempt. Erecting a tent or structure alongside the screen may also need separate Dubai Municipality approval. Confirm with your venue, since thresholds change.

How far in advance should I book a screen rental in Dubai?

Standard bookings need 3 to 7 days lead time to confirm stock, technician availability and delivery slots. Large events needing structural rigging, a venue site survey, or a DET or DCT permit generally need 2 to 4 weeks. Booking earlier also gives you time to send content files for a test before the event rather than on the morning itself.

What is included in a screen rental Dubai quote?

A full quote includes the panels or TV unit in the agreed size, a video processor to handle your content resolution, rigging or a ground-stack frame rated for the load, an on-site technician for setup, live operation and dismantling, and delivery plus collection within Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah. Spare panels for dead pixel replacement should be included, not billed as an extra.
