How much does exhibition stand graphics cost in Dubai?

Basic printed PVC panels typically cost AED 50 to 150 per square metre, fabric tension prints run AED 120 to 250 per square metre, and backlit SEG fabric displays cost AED 250 to 450 per square metre. These figures exclude installation and design fees, and actual rates vary by supplier, material grade and how quickly you need the job turned around. Confirm current pricing with your supplier against your specific stand dimensions.

How long does it take to produce exhibition graphics in Dubai?

From a finished, approved artwork file, standard print production takes five to ten working days. If a design concept needs to be created and approved first, allow two to three weeks total. Backlit fabric displays with custom frames can take seven to fourteen additional days for fabrication. Rush jobs inside 72 hours are usually possible but come with a premium, often 25 to 50 percent above standard rate.

Do exhibition graphics need a fire certificate in Dubai?

Most UAE exhibition venues, including Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Exhibition Centre, require printed materials used on stands to carry fire retardant certification. This is checked at move-in, and non-compliant graphics are typically removed on the spot. Requirements can vary slightly by venue and organiser, so confirm the exact standard required for your specific show before committing to a material.

Can I bring my own exhibition graphics supplier, or must I use the venue's official contractor?

This depends on the venue and the type of work. Printed panels, banners and floor graphics are usually fine from any supplier. Fascia signage, rigging above a certain height, and anything connecting into venue electrics often must go through the organiser's official contractor. Check the exhibitor manual for your specific show, since this rule is set by the organiser, not by general industry practice.

What is the difference between a shell scheme and custom stand for graphics purposes?

A shell scheme stand has a standard aluminium frame provided by the organiser, with graphics applied to fitted panels, usually a simpler and cheaper print job. A custom stand is built from scratch to a unique design, giving more freedom for backlit walls, hanging signage and floor branding, but at higher production cost and longer lead time since the structure and graphics need to be designed together.

Should I add entertainment or staffing to an exhibition stand?

Graphics draw attention from a distance, but a host, promoter or short live performance is usually what converts a passerby into a stand visit and a conversation. Most exhibitors in Dubai budget for this separately from the stand build and graphics, booking bilingual hosts or demonstrators through an entertainment or event staffing agency, coordinated with the stand's install schedule so both arrive ready for the same opening day.

What size banner or backdrop do I need for a trade show stand in Dubai?

This depends entirely on your stand dimensions and the organiser's floor plan, which varies by show and hall. A 3x3m shell scheme stand typically needs a backdrop sized to the back panel plus a fascia sign above. Always confirm exact panel dimensions against the organiser's official floor plan and stand specification sheet rather than estimating, since printed graphics that are even a few centimetres off will not fit the frame.
