What is the average cost of an event hall in Dubai?

A mid-size hotel ballroom for 150 to 500 guests typically costs AED 25,000 to AED 80,000 for a half or full day booking, usually structured as a food and beverage minimum spend rather than a flat fee. Smaller halls start around AED 8,000, while large convention halls or arenas can run past AED 250,000. Always confirm the current figure directly with the venue, since it shifts with season and day of week.

How far in advance should I book an event hall in Dubai?

Book 8 to 12 weeks ahead for a weekday date at most venues. Weekend dates and anything falling in the peak season between October and April, including the lead-up to major public holidays, often get booked out 4 to 6 months in advance, particularly for the larger hotel ballrooms.

Can I bring my own entertainment and catering to a hotel hall in Dubai?

It depends on the venue. Most five-star hotel ballrooms require in-house catering and either restrict you to a preferred AV and entertainment supplier list or charge an outside-vendor fee to bring your own. Standalone banquet halls outside the hotel sector are generally more flexible. Confirm the policy in writing before you book any external supplier.

What is the biggest event hall in Dubai?

The largest capacity spaces sit within the Dubai World Trade Centre complex and at Expo City Dubai, both built for exhibitions and conferences running into the thousands of attendees. Coca-Cola Arena handles large-format concerts and ticketed shows rather than private hire. Exact hall dimensions and current maximum capacities change with renovations, so confirm figures directly with the venue for your event date.

Do event halls in Dubai include AV and staging?

Hotel ballrooms typically include basic in-house lighting and sound as part of the package, though anything beyond that, such as a stage, LED screens or a full PA system, is usually quoted as an extra. Raw exhibition and convention halls include none of this, and you build every element in through your own suppliers.

Is alcohol allowed in event halls in Dubai?

Licensed hotels can serve alcohol within their own venues under their liquor licence. Standalone banquet halls and community venues outside hotel properties generally cannot serve or permit alcohol unless they hold a specific licence, which is uncommon. Confirm the venue's licensing status directly if this matters for your event.

What documents do I need to book a hall in Dubai?

Most venues require a signed contract, a deposit (commonly 25 to 50 percent of the estimated total), and for larger public or ticketed events, additional permits from Dubai Tourism or the relevant local authority. Corporate bookings usually also need a trade licence copy for invoicing purposes. Requirements vary by venue and event type, so confirm the exact list with the hall's events team early.

How much does entertainment cost on top of the hall rental?

Entertainment budgets in Dubai vary widely by act type, from a solo musician to a full dance production or live band, and depend on performance length, number of performers and whether staging or sound reinforcement is needed. It's built separately from the hall rental, so request entertainment quotes alongside your venue quote so both fit within one overall budget.
