How much does it cost to hire a model in Dubai?

Day rates through a licensed agency typically range from AED 800 for a standard exhibition hostess to AED 3,000 or more for an experienced runway model, and prices vary by language, experience and how far ahead you book. Confirm the current rate card with the agency, since it changes around peak trade show months.

What is the difference between a modeling agency and an entertainment agency in Dubai?

A modeling agency typically supplies promotional models, hostesses and brand ambassadors for launches and exhibitions. An entertainment agency covers that plus performers such as dancers, musicians and themed acts, and often handles the full production side of an event rather than staffing alone. Many clients booking for a single event use an entertainment agency for both.

Do I need a licence to hire models for an event in Dubai?

You do not personally need a licence to hire staff for your event, but whoever supplies the models does need the correct trade licence or freelance permit covering that activity. This is one of the main reasons to book through a licensed agency rather than an unverified freelancer, since the liability for incorrect work status can otherwise fall back on the event organiser.

How far in advance should I book models in Dubai?

Six to eight weeks ahead gives you first choice of bilingual and experienced staff, particularly around major exhibition and trade show periods. Bookings made inside two weeks are still possible but the selection narrows quickly, and premium language combinations such as Arabic or Mandarin are usually the first to be taken.

Can tourists work as models in Dubai?

No. Anyone paid to work an event in the UAE, including modeling or promotional work, needs the correct visa or work permit status for that activity. A tourist visa does not cover paid work of any kind, and this rule is enforced. Confirm current visa requirements with a licensed agency or local advisor before booking anyone whose status is unclear.

What languages do promotional models in Dubai typically speak?

English is the baseline for almost every booking. Arabic, Mandarin and Russian are the most requested additional languages given Dubai's visitor and resident mix, and staff fluent in these command a higher day rate. If your event targets a specific nationality of visitor, mention it in the brief early so the agency can shortlist accordingly.

How do I become a model with an agency in Dubai?

Agencies typically build their roster through direct applications and referrals rather than open casting calls. If you want to be represented, contact agencies directly with recent photos, your measurements and any past event or modeling experience, and ask about their submission process, since it varies by agency.

What is included in a model booking besides the model's time?

A properly contracted booking usually covers the day rate, a pre-event briefing and coordination on the day. Uniform, specific grooming requirements and travel are sometimes billed separately, so ask the agency to break this out in writing before you agree a total budget, rather than assuming it is bundled.
